Meet Abdi
From Princes Park.
For Princes Park.

Local / L8
I'm Abdi Ahmed, 23, born and raised here in Princes Park. This community made me who I am, and I'm proud to call L8 home.
As a community activist, I've spent years working with local residents, young people and community organisations. I've seen both the incredible strengths of our area and the challenges local families face.
I'm standing to be your Labour councillor because I want to give something back to the community that raised me. I'll be visible, accessible and ready to work hard for every part of Princes Park.

L8
Is more than a postcode —
it's home.
I was born and raised here, and Princes Park has shaped who I am. Our area has a proud history and generations of people from different backgrounds who have made L8 what it is today.
I want to protect what makes our community special while fighting for an even better future.

What I'll fight for
My priorities
for Princes Park
Practical action. Local priorities. A stronger Princes Park.
01
Cleaner,
safer streets.
Residents deserve to feel proud of where they live. I'll work with residents to tackle fly-tipping, waste and neglected streets, while pushing for cleaner, safer neighbourhoods across Princes Park.
Pride in our streets. Action on the basics.

02
Backing the
next generation.
Young people in Princes Park deserve places to play, opportunities to grow and the support to succeed.
I'll champion investment in youth facilities, sport, skills and employment — making sure our young people have opportunities right here in their community.

03

Standing up
for local families.
I'll be a strong local voice on housing, the cost of living and the everyday issues affecting residents, while fighting to make sure Princes Park gets its fair share of investment.

- Fair investment
Our community
Our diversity
is our strength.

Princes Park has long been home to people from across the world. That diversity is part of what makes L8 special.
I want to bring our communities together, celebrate what we share and make sure everyone has a voice in the future of Princes Park.
Everyone has a voice in the future of Princes Park.
Labour delivering for you
£2

Keeping bus
travel affordable.
Labour has kept the Liverpool City Region adult single bus fare capped at £2, helping people with the everyday cost of getting to work, education and appointments.
I'll continue backing affordable and reliable public transport that works for Princes Park.
Community
before
politics.
Before standing for election, I was already working for our community.
From supporting young people and volunteering locally to working alongside community organisations, I believe public service starts with showing up, listening and getting involved.
As your councillor, that won't change.

Princes Park / L8
My promise to you
I won't just
appear at
election time.
If elected, I'll be a visible and accessible councillor who listens to residents, responds to local concerns and keeps you informed about the work I'm doing on your behalf.
Princes Park is my home. It would be a privilege to represent it.
Let's have a
conversation.
Over the coming months, I'll be knocking on doors across Princes Park to hear directly from you.
Whether it's something happening on your street, an idea for our community or an issue you need help with, I want to hear from you.
